1 – Preparation for the procedure

• A quick test is performed to determine the initial and desired shades of the client’s teeth according to the VITA scale.
• The oral mucosa, lips and gums are covered with protective insulation using special films, dental plates and materials.
• Cheek retractors are installed and fixated to provide better access to the teeth.
• Special goggles are given to the patient to protect their eyes from the effects of LED radiation.

2 – The whitening process

• A special whitening gel is applied to the upper and lower dental arches.
• The whitening gel gets activated by the radiation of a “ZOOM” LED lamp, which penetrates the deep layers of teeth enamel and removes dark pigmentation.
• The whole teeth whitening procedure lasts 90 minutes and consists of 3-4 short whitening sessions of 15 minutes each. The duration of the whitening sessions depends on the desired result and the individual properties of the patient’s teeth.

3 – Final stage of the procedure

• Residue from the whitening gel is removed from the teeth.
• The result achieved is determined according to the VITA scale. A whitening of up to 6-8 tones can be achieved after just one procedure!
• Mineralization of the teeth is performed to help strengthen enamel. This is done by the teeth being coated with a special gel containing calcium and fluoride.

It is important to note that teeth whitening at home takes more patience and time (up to 2-3 weeks).

Is it possible to predict colour shade before teeth whitening?

For example, whitening teeth of different initial shades gives each one a different effect. Even different areas of the same tooth are whitened unevenly (the colour evens out after about 14 days). Can dental fillings and prostheses be whitened?

It is important to know that only natural teeth are whitened during the procedure. Dental fillings, crowns, implants, laminates, and other artificial dental elements cannot change their shade. Therefore, any artificial elements of your smile will need to be replaced after the procedure, to match the colour of the newly whitened teeth.

What causes teeth discolouration?
